Advanced Composite Armour - AC Series

Typical Composition:

  • Aramid / Polyethylene / Glass Fibre + High Strength Resin system. Can be combined with Ceramics or Metallics to provide extremely high levels of protection. Usually bespoke, materials are chosen to suit the application.

Advantages:

  • Ultra-lightweight composite armour (composition varies to suit threat level(s) requested)
  • Grades available to meet most national and international ballistic standards
  • Can be combined with other materials (e.g. RAM) to achieve ideal properties (mechanical, electrical, magnetic)
  • Can be combined with other armour to achieve higher protection level, e.g. plate inserts for body armour & Appliqué armour for fighting vehicles
  • Composite armour systems massively reduce the risk of “melt spray” from shaped charges.
  • Composite armour can be used and stored without degradation from the elements.
  • Available in sheet form, but normally supplied pre-cut and drilled to your requirements as it requires specialist equipment to cut effectively
  • Cutting service available, from customers drawings, templates or direct import from all major CAD systems
